Acceptance of Terms

Pettenden Trading (Pty) Ltd t/a Bed King permits the use of this Website subject to these terms and conditions ("the Terms and Conditions"). By using this Website in any way, you shall be deemed to have accepted all the Terms and Conditions unconditionally. You must not use this Website if you do not agree to the Terms and Conditions. In the event of any conflict between the Terms and Conditions and any other conditions stipulated elsewhere, including in one of our Suppliers' terms and conditions, the Terms and Conditions as contained herein will prevail.

Use of Site

The contents of this Website, including any content, information, software, icons, text, links, graphics, lay-outs, images, sound clips, trade names, logos, trademarks and service marks are protected by law, including but not limited to copyright and trade mark law, and are owned by or licensed to Pettenden Trading (Pty) Ltd t/a Bed King. No license to or right in any of such contents is granted to or conferred upon you. Any unauthorized use, distribution or reproduction of the said contents is prohibited.
By entering this Website, you agree that you will not use any device, software or other instrumentality to interfere or attempt to interfere with the proper working of the Website and that you will not take any action that imposes an unreasonable or disproportionately large load on our infrastructure. In addition, you agree that you will not use any robot, spider, other automatic device, or manual process to monitor or copy the pages of the Website or the content contained herein, without the prior written consent from an authorized Pettenden Trading (Pty) Ltd t/a Bed King representative (such consent is deemed given for standard search engine technology employed by Internet search websites to direct Internet users to this Website). Purchase Policy

When you make a purchase at Bed King legal obligations arise and your right to refund of monies charged to your credit card or paid in any other way agreed by us, are limited by our terms & conditions. You must not make any purchase online or instore unless you understand and agree to all our terms and conditions. Once payment is made for the purchase, it is deemed that you have read and understood the terms and conditions for such purchase. If you have any queries, please speak to a consultant or contact us via email before making any purchase through this website or instore.

Order processing and Fulfillment Policy

Order processing will not begin until we receive a confirmed order and full payment. Full payment meaning we have received a credit card authorization from the issuing bank, or an electronic fund transfer that reflects on our bank statement. You will be contacted within 48 hours of your purchase to make arrangements for your delivery. Should any product be out of stock, expect a lead time of 7-20 working days. Certain products may need to be custom made for you and can take up to 21 days to be delivered.

Product Policy



Upon purchase of your goods, please ensure you agree with the size of your selected mattress and or bed-set. Should you need to exchange your mattress purchase for a different size, additional costs will be incurred.


Different warranty and guarantee periods apply to different products. Please refer to the specific product page or speak to a sales consultant for more information.


Upon purchase of your goods, please ensure you are in agreement with the weight limitation of your selected mattress and or bed-set. Purchasing a mattress or bed set not suited to support your weight will compromise the longevity of your purchase. This will result in additional costs being incurred.


A mattress protector not only ensures your mattress is kept in a hygienic and allergen free condition, it also validates your warranty and guarantee. Failing to protect your mattress with a waterproof mattress protector will invalidate your guarantee and warranty. Should your mattress have unsanitary marks/ stains or signs of abuse, the guarantee and warranty will be invalidated.


Regularly rotating and or flipping your mattress will lengthen its lifespan. Failing to regularly rotate and or flip your mattress will invalidate the guarantee and warranty


Body impressions is a natural occurrence in good-quality mattresses like ours, with responsive foam layers. Similarly, to wearing a shoe for some time, your mattress starts to gently conform to the shape of your body as the insole would start to conform to the shape of your foot. Our foam layers are designed to be responsive, conforming, and adjusting to your sleeping body. Body impressions up to 4cm are a normal occurrence on any mattress and not a structural defect. Due to normal body impressions of up to 4cm, a slight ridge will likely form in the center of your mattress. This is a normal occurrence. The manufacturer will only inspect the mattress if body impressions are deeper than 4cm.

Base sets

Should you choose to only purchase a mattress and not a base from us, please ensure that your existing base has a solid supportive surface. Should your existing base be slatted, please ensure the gaps in between each slat are not wider than 30mm. Should your base have slats with gaps in between, wider than 30mm, the base needs to be fitted with a solid 5mm hardboard. Failure to ensure the above will invalidate your guarantee and warranty.

Linen and accessories

Due to hygiene reasons, no linen products, mattress protectors and pillows will be exchanged or refunded. Please take note of the care instructions as listed on the linen, mattress protector and pillow packaging.


The manufacturer will only repair faults due to workmanship. Faults due to improper care such as but not limited to

  • exposure to direct sunlight causing fabric/ wood changes
  • exposure to heat sources and or
  • exposure to water or dampness and or
  • failure to adhere to normal use of the item

will not be repaired or exchanged.

Adjustable bases

The warranty does not cover any defects caused by

  • Foreign objects that are not part of the items
  • Any use other than domestic use by the customer or his/her resident families.
  • Failure to abide by the manufacturers' instructions for installation, maintenance, and use.
  • The use of accessories which have not been approved by the manufacturer.
  • Any incorrect or abnormal electrical or water supply to the item.
  • Any wiring or electrical connection defect which was not present in the item at the time of the installation.
  • The use of foreign objects in the item of which the item is not designed to tolerate i.e. hairpins, coins, pens etc.
  • Neglect, misuse, or willful abuse of the item
  • Repairs or attempted repairs of the item by any person other than Bed King or its authorized repairers.
  • Any modification of the item by any person other than Bed King or its authorized repairers.
  • Parts or items of the unit which are expected to wear out before the warranty period expires, including but not limited to, batteries and or motors.
  • Fire, flood, war, civil disturbance, industrial action, acts of God or any other causes beyond the reasonable control of the Bed King.
  • Any defect caused by lightning strike or power surges.

Bed King will not be held liable for any loss or damages suffered by the customer, related to the product items defect as listed above.

Repairs may not be effected without prior authorization from Bed King.

In the case of a fault covered by the warranty, Bed King will arrange an authorized repairer and pay for the labor and materials supplied to repair the fault covered under the warranty.

The customer shall be liable for the repair costs, including but not limited to the call out fee should

  • no defect be found or
  • should a defect be found that is not covered under the warranty

It is the customers duty to maintain and ensure the adjustable unit is in good working order.

The following will invalidate the warranty:

  • Lightning damage
  • Extended exposure to moisture and humidity
  • Exposure to liquids
  • Exposure to heat damage
  • Acts of God
  • Connection to incorrect voltage or damage due to electrical power surges
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Accidental damage
  • Misuse or abuse
  • Failure to properly maintain
  • Use of improper cleaning methods
  • Soiled, burnt, stained, infested with insects or in an unsanitary condition or tampered with
  • Incorrect customer installation
  • Use of faulty or leaking batteries
  • Evidence of tampering or repair by a non-approved technician
  • Altered or removed serial number
  • Software related faults (no hardware fault)

Delivery and Collection Policy

Notwithstanding anything to the contrary Bed King obligation to deliver goods shall in all cases be subject to the following: (a) If Bed King arranges a delivery on behalf of the client, it will be at the client's cost depending on the area of delivery. The risk of handling the goods will be on the client as soon as the goods are placed on the delivery vehicle. The client must arrange their own insurance in this regard. (b) Whilst delivery times are given in good faith and Bed King will use every endeavour to comply therewith, no responsibility can be accepted for any loss or damage incurred by the Customer on account of any delay in delivery arising out of any circumstances beyond Bed King' control, which circumstances will include, but in no way be limited to:

  • any delays in the supply of goods Bed King Suppliers which cannot be directly or indirectly attributed to them;
  • the client changing their order within 5 days from delivery;
  • any delays in freight services beyond Bed King' reasonable control;
  • if the balance of the purchase price payable on delivery is not payable on date of anticipated delivery.

Bed King will communicate any unavoidable delay in the delivery to the customer.


Delivery fees are calculated during the checkout process based on the distance of the delivery address from the distribution center.

To calculate delivery fees, the Bed King product line is split into two categories:

  • Category 1: Large, bulky items that require assistance (e.g. beds, mattresses, bed frames, bunk beds, sleeper couches, and other larger furniture items)
  • Category 2: small items (pillows, bedding, and mattress protectors)

If products from both Category 1 and Category 2 are ordered, the Category 1 fee will apply for the entire order.

Category 1 purchases (Large, bulky items)

Western Cape & Gauteng
  • The delivery fee is R375 to major metropolitan cities in the Western Cape and Gauteng provinces within 50km of the distribution center(s).
  • Deliveries in the Western Cape and Gauteng provinces 51km + of the distribution center are deemed to be long-distance delivery. A delivery fee will be quoted and emailed to you for your approval.

Eastern Cape, Northern Cape, North-West, Mpumalanga and Kwa Zulu Natal
  • The delivery fee to these provinces, will be quoted by the Bed King dispatch team. The quotation will be emailed to you for your approval.

Category 2 purchases (smalls)
  • All Category 2 orders have a base delivery fee of R150 across the country.

Bed King reserves the right to review the automatically calculated delivery fee if the order falls outside of our normal order parameters. If applicable, the Bed King management team will contact you to negotiate an appropriate delivery fee.


Please ensure you provide accurate delivery details. Bed King will not be held responsible for any loss or unauthorized use of the goods once we have delivered your purchase to the delivery address provided to us.


We deliver Monday to Saturday excluding Public Holidays. Before delivery of your purchase, our warehouse team will notify you of the delivery date. As far as possible, we endeavor to keep to the delivery date provided. From time to time, due to seasonal demand or situations out of our control the delivery date may change. Any changes to the delivery date will be communicated to you timeously.


Delivery of goods can be made to your room of choice within the delivery address. Please ensure that all access ways are clear. If the delivery team deems that there may be a risk of damage to the product or property, they may refuse to deliver to your desired location within the delivery address. Our insurance does not allow our delivery team to move additional furniture within your home. We require the client or authorized person to fully disclose the conditions at the delivery address i.e. staircases, security gates, etc. prior to the delivery taking place. No delivery will be made to your desired location within the delivery address unless supervision is provided at all times, either by the homeowner or a person authorized to accept delivery. Failing which, our delivery team will not be permitted to enter your home/bedroom and your goods will not be delivered. Additional delivery charges may be incurred.


Upon delivery of your purchase, you will be provided with a delivery note. It is your responsibility to inspect your delivery for faults or defects. Should you find any, please note it on the delivery note and return the item immediately. Should you be happy with the condition of your delivery, please sign the delivery note to confirm that the goods have been received.


Should you be unable to accept delivery of your purchase in person, please notify our warehouse team of the individual (name and ID number) who will be accepting delivery on behalf of you. Our delivery team will need identification before delivering the goods. Should no one be at the delivery address after the particulars of the delivery has been confirmed, you will be charged an additional delivery fee.


We offer an assembly service on certain furniture items delivered by our in-house delivery team to areas in Cape Town and Gauteng. Should you choose to assemble the items yourself, Bed King will not be held liable for any missing parts, any damage to the items or injuries incurred by yourself or anyone else during the assembly process. We are unable to assemble items previously purchased elsewhere.


From time to time, particularly for deliveries to far lying areas, we make use of Courier services. Bed King will not be liable for any damage suffered or any losses incurred arising out of any act or omission by the courier.


If you would like to collect your purchase, please allow for 3 - 5 working days for the order to be transferred from our warehouse to the Bed King store of your choice. When opting to collect your order, you must equip yourself with the required supplies and equipment to transport the order safely home. Although we have specialized heavy duty packaging material at our warehouse, we cannot guarantee it will be effective enough for your purpose. Should your order be damaged during transit, it will not be covered by warranty and guarantee certificate. Due to insurance constraints, The Bed King staff cannot assist you with the loading or off-loading and securing of your order.

Cancellation Policy

Bed King' requires a deposit of 30% to confirm the order of the goods. We may impose a cancellation fee in the event of cancellation of the order before delivery.

The fee will depend on the nature of the order, the length of notice of cancellation before delivery, the reasonable potential to find alternative clients for the order, and the reason for cancellation. No refunds on deposits in the event of cancellation for already ordered/made Special-Order Goods.

Returns Policy

We pride ourselves on carrying high-quality items and trust you will be delighted with your purchase. All returns are subject to Bed King Terms and Conditions, based purely in line with the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008.

Full returns and refunds minus delivery charges (if applicable) are accepted within 10 business days provided the item is unused and returned in its original packaging. If you want to return your unused and unopened purchase for any reason at all please send an email to returns@bedking.co.za or call us on 0860 25 35 45, within 10 business days of receiving your order.

No returns or refunds of used items are accepted. Should you for some reason be unhappy with your purchase, you will be entitled to one exchange. Please refer to our 90-night Comfort Exchange Policy.

Items will be assessed by the manufacturer/ supplier or internally.

Upon assessment, should the items be found to be defective or have quality issues, the items may be returned within 6 months of delivery provided that the items have been used for their intended purpose and that the care instructions have been followed. Bed King will either repair or replace the item or refund you the price paid for the item less the initial delivery fee (if applicable).

Please note: No refunds, repairs, or exchanges of items will be authorized should we find
  • Any alterations or modifications or addition have been made to the goods, without the prior consent of Pettenden Trading (Pty) Ltd t/a Bedking;
  • You have failed to use the goods supplied in accordance with the instructions and specifications of Pettenden Trading (Pty) Ltd t/a Bedking;
  • Damages are due to the general mistreatment and abuse of the goods supplied;
  • Any damage caused by fire, flood, civil disturbance or act of God;
  • The goods have not been inspected by a technical expert in order to evaluate/determine the reason for the defects in the material, before the Client requested its replacement, repair or refund.

Refund Policy

We do not give refunds if the Customer simply changes their mind or makes the wrong decision. Where goods are determined as defective within 6 months of delivery, the Customer can choose between a refund, exchange, or repair.

We may choose not to accept returns of goods if the goods are found to be in an unsanitary condition.

Should we choose to accept the return in the case of non-defective products, we may charge a handling fee.

Refunds will be issued
  • once the items have been returned to Bed King
  • using the same payment method in which the sales order was completed. I.e., If you paid via credit card, the refund will be completed to the same credit card initially presented at Point of Sale.
  • Excluding delivery fees in the case of returning non-defective products

Please note: Refunds can take up to 14 business days to reflect in your account.

90-Night Comfort Exchange Policy

In the unlikely event that you are not completely satisfied with your bed/mattress, we will exchange your purchase subject to the following terms and conditions:

  • The 90-night comfort exchange policy is only available on standard size beds/mattresses. The 90-night comfort policy does not apply to any furniture, linen, pillows or any other accessories.
  • A minimum of 30-nights must be completed before the comfort exchange policy becomes applicable.
  • In the event of an exchange, a minimum disposal fee of 25% of the original beds value will be added on to the new invoice, as well as an additional delivery charge. (The new invoice can only be to the value of or greater than the original purchase and not less.)
  • A disposal fee will be charged to cover the following: The transportation of your bed to the manufacturer and the stripping of your bed into parts.
  • It is company policy not to resell or display exchanged beds on our floor.
  • The 90-night comfort exchange policy starts from the delivery date of the bed and ends on midnight on the 90th day after that date.
  • The comfort exchange policy is only valid if the customer bought a waterproof mattress protector from the Bed King. The waterproof mattress protector must appear on the same invoice as the purchased mattress.
  • Please ensure that the products are in satisfactory condition when you receive them. If the products are MARKED or DAMAGED on delivery to you, you must note it on the delivery note that the driver takes with him and inform your salesperson within 24 hours after the delivery.
  • Any product that is soiled or in an unsatisfactory condition upon the exchange, will not be exchanged and the comfort exchange policy will be invalidated.
  • Only one comfort exchange is allowed per customer.


All transactions will be processed in South African Rands (ZAR) inclusive of VAT. The Bed King reserves the right to change pricing at any time without prior notice. Every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of pricing and product information. Instances may arise in which a product(s) are priced incorrectly on the website or where the product information supplied is inaccurate. The Bed King will not be held bound by the incorrect price(s) in cases where such error(s) occur.

Bed King Accounts are provided by FeverTree Finance (Pty) Ltd, a registered credit provider (NCRCP6072). You need to be between 18 - 65 years, earn a minimum of R5 000 a month and be a responsible credit user. You have 18 months to settle your bill. Available to South African citizens only. Subject to affordability checks.


You need to be between the ages of 18 and 65, earn a minimum of R5 000 p/m and be a responsible credit user (credit records are checked). Your payments are scheduled in three instalments:

  • 1st payment: Immediately
  • 2nd payment: End of the month
  • 3rd payment: End of the following month

If you spend before the 15th of the month, the 2nd payment will be scheduled at the end of the same month. If you spend after the 15th, the 2nd payment will only go off the end of the following month.


LayUp offers you a way to pay via easy, interest-free instalments before receiving your goods.

  • Pay over a maximum of 4 months.
  • A minimum deposit of 20% of the total purchase price of the order is required.
  • Regular monthly payments must be made to Lay Up.
  • Your order must be paid for in full by the due date.
  • Once the total payment is received and cleared, you will be contacted by Bed King to schedule delivery.
  • Refunds, cancellations:
    • Should you fail to make regular monthly payments, or fail to pay in full by the due date; the transaction will be cancelled. You will be refunded all payments made to-date less the non-refundable deposit and less a cancellation fee of 1% of the retail price.
    • Customers can cancel by submitting a cancellation on their LayUp account. LayUp will in turn refund the customer the funds directly less the non-refundable deposit and less the cancellation fee of 1% of the retail price.


  • 1. The Merchant ("the Seller") and the Purchaser, (hereinafter referred to as "You"), hereby agree to the following terms and conditions with regard to the sale of the goods or services described in the Order information;
  • 2. You agree (i) to buy the Goods on lay-by; (ii) to pay for the Goods by making a deposit, once off payments and regular instalments until payment of the full purchase price, as set out in the Order Information; and (iii) that this agreement represents the entire agreement between You and the Seller;
  • 3. You understand and agree that you will not become the owner of the Goods until you have paid the full purchase price for the Goods;
  • 4. No interest or initiation fees will be charged on the lay-by;
  • 5. You understand and agree that (i) the purchase price of the Goods includes tax at the current rate of tax; and (ii) if, at any time before you pay the full purchase price of the Goods, the tax rate is changed in relation to the supply of the Goods, the Seller will be entitled to recover the tax increase from you prior to release of the Goods;
  • 6. You must pay the monthly instalments on or before the due dates indicated by your Lay Up Payment Plan until the final payment date. All amounts must be paid on the Lay Up platform, as detailed in the Payment Plan;
  • 7. The Seller shall not increase the purchase price payable by you; or recover from you any amount in addition to the purchase price of the Goods;
  • 11. At the Seller's discretion, certain merchandise may not qualify for purchase as Lay-by Goods or Services;
  • 12. If you terminate the agreement prior to its expiry date, the Seller shall refund you all monies paid by you in terms hereof prior to the date of such termination and the refund will have termination/cancellation fee as (specified by the Lay Up platform) deducted from it.
  • 13. If You fail to fulfil your obligation to pay the balance of the purchase price in full by not later than the final payment date stated in the Payment Plan ("the Expiry Date"), the Seller shall be entitled, after the Grace Period set on the Lay Up platform, to terminate this agreement and, in that event, the Seller shall refund all payments made by you with the cancellation fee deducted;
  • 14. If your contact details or address change, You must notify Lay Up within seven (7) days of such change;
  • 16. No failure or delay by a party to enforce or exercise a right in terms hereof will thereby be deemed to be a waiver or abandonment thereof;
  • 17. The Seller shall be entitled at any time to assign its right, title and interest in, to and under this agreement to any other party. You shall not assign, or otherwise deal with any of your right, title and interest under this agreement nor agree to do any such thing without the prior written consent of the Seller, which the Seller may withhold at its absolute discretion;
  • 18. Should the Seller be prevented from fulfilling any of its obligations to you as a result of any event of force majeure, then those obligations shall be deemed to have been suspended to the extent that and for as long as the Seller is so prevented from fulfilling them and your corresponding obligations shall be suspended to the corresponding event. In the event that such event continues for more than 14 days after it has first occurred then the Seller shall be entitled (but not obliged) to terminate all of its rights and obligations in terms of or arising out of these terms by giving notice to you. An event outside the control of the seller shall mean any event or circumstance whatsoever which is not within the reasonable control of the Seller including, but not limited to, vis major, any act of God, strike, theft, riots, explosion, insurrection or other similar disorder, war (whether declared or not) or military operations, the downtime of any external telecommunications line, power failure, international restrictions,any requirement or any international authority, any requirement of any government or other competent local authority, any court order, export control or shortage or transport facilities;
  • 19. You hereby consent that the Seller may institute any legal proceedings that have to do with this agreement on your account, in the Magistrate's Court, being any Magistrate's Court that has jurisdiction over this agreement. The Seller may, however, choose to institute action against you in any other court having jurisdiction;
  • 20. In this agreement, personal information means any and all information that you give to us which is personal to you (for example: your name, identity number, phone number, etc.), which the Seller may store and process;
  • 21. The Seller will keep your personal information only for as long as we need to or have to by law;
  • 22. The Seller may from time to time contact you by post, by phone or in any other way about other products and services which the Seller consider may interest you unless you tell them that you would prefer not to receive such offers;
  • 23. You agree and consent that the Seller may disclose your personal information to:
  • 23.1 any person working for them;
  • 23.2 any organisation which underwrites or supports any of our products which you hold; 23.3 any person to whom they transfer any of their rights or obligations under this agreement;
  • 23.4 anyone you authorise them to give personal information to;
  • 23.5 They may process your information to the extent permitted by law;
  • 24. These terms and conditions may be amended from time to time, and in such a case the amended terms and conditions shall apply to you with immediate effect;
  • 25. You must have the legally required capacity to enter into and be bound by these terms and conditions;
  • 26. The Layby Agreement is regulated in South Africa by the applicable provisions of the Consumer Protection Act (68 of 2008).
  • 27. You confirm that the terms and conditions, the meaning and consequences of this agreement have been presented and explained to you in a language that you understand. You also confirm that the risks relating to the agreement, as well as your rights and obligations, have also been explained to you;
  • 28. The Seller may at any time amend or replace these terms and conditions and if they do so it does not mean a novation of the agreement or any transaction or indebtedness (meaning that a new agreement does not automatically come into place);
  • 29. Laybys may be excluded from certain promotions, such as one-day deals, Black Friday and new store opening deals as well as specific offers where limited quantities apply. These will be noted in the promotion advertising communications. Please note, the item bought on layby isbought at the agreed price, and no correspondence will be entered into should that price change during the course of the layby agreement.

The company registration documents and the site's registered domain name are checked and verified by Thawte, ensuring the cardholder and merchant that nobody can impersonate VCS to obtain confidential information.

Virtual Card Services Internet servers are protected by firewalls and intrusion detection systems.

The Merchant does not have access to credit details.

Competitions and Giveaways Policy

  • 1. These terms and conditions apply to any Bed King Competition and or Giveaway
  • 2. Please read these terms and conditions carefully and by participating in this Competition, all participants irrevocably agree to be bound by these terms and conditions, which will be solely interpreted by Bed King.
  • 3. Bed King may amend these terms and conditions at any time during the Competition, by posting such amendments on their website (www.bedking.co.za)
  • 4. The Competition period will be stated as well as the applicable region.
  • 5. The Competition may be terminated or extended at any time by Bed King. In the event of such termination, all participants agree to waive (give up) any rights they may in terms of this Competition and acknowledge that they have no recourse of any kind against Bed King or its promotional agents.
  • 6. To enter the Competition, you must be 18 years old or older and live in South Africa (being a resident or a citizen). Directors and/or Members and/or Agents and/or Promoters and/or Consultants to Promoters and/or Employees and/or Contractors and/or Family members of Bed King and its associated companies are not eligible to enter or even claim the prizes.
  • 7. To enter the Competition, entrants must abide by the entry rules as stated
  • 8. The winner will be announced by Bed King. The judges 'decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  • 9. The winner will be notified by email and or social media. If the winner cannot be contacted within 10 days, the prize will be forfeited and a new winner selected.
  • 10. If the Prize is not redeemed within 6 months of announcement of the winner, it will be forfeited.
  • 11. The winner agrees to supply a valid identification document (SA ID or passport), proof of address, and any other validation procedure determined by Bed King, in order to claim the prize.
  • 12. The winner agrees to have his/her photo taken, which may be used together with their full names by Bed King for advertising and promotional purposes, without the obligation to notify or reimburse the winner.
  • 13. The prize is not transferable neither can it be exchanged for cash.
  • 14. Any violation, attempt and/or suspicion to violate any of these rules will result in the immediate disqualification on the participant.
  • 15. Entrants indemnify Bed King or their respective affiliates for any loss or damage that it or its respective affiliates may suffer because of the Entrant's breach of these terms and conditions. Consequently, the Entrants agree to compensate Bed King or their respective affiliates for any loss or damage it suffered (including consequential damages and/or legal expenses incurred) because of the Entrant's breach of these terms and conditions. The Entrants also agree to hold Bed King or their respective affiliates harmless for any claim made against it or their respective affiliates by third parties due to the Entrant's breach of these terms and conditions.
  • 16. The prize may not be awarded if entry procedures or these terms and conditions have not been adhered to or if Bed King detects and/or suspects any irregularities or fraudulent practices.
  • 17. All participant's indemnify Bed King and any other company associated with the competition and its advertising agencies against any and all claims howsoever from their participation in this competition.
  • 18. All participants further indemnify Bed King from any claim should this Competition be called off or extended for any reason whatsoever. Consequently, all participants agree to waive any rights they may have in terms of this Competition and acknowledge that they have no recourse against Bed King or any of its promotional agents.
  • 19. If required, as a result of a change in legislation by the Minster of Trade and Industry or if the Competition is declared unlawful, Bed King reserves the right to terminate this competition immediately and without notice. In the event of such termination, all participants agree to waive any rights they may have accrued in terms of this Competition and acknowledge that they have no recourse against Bed King or its promotional agents.
  • 20. At the end of the competition, all Bed King obligations with regard to the Competition as well as with regard to the prize shall cease to exist.
  • 21. These terms and conditions are severable and are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.

  • is valid for 3 years from date of issue.

  • Will be null and void if any amendments are made to it.

  • The business will not be liable in the event of the voucher being lost, damaged or stolen.

Warranty and Guarantee Policy

A Warranty and Guarantee Card is provided alongside your purchased items. It is your responsibility to familiarize yourself with the guidelines as set out in your warranty and guarantee card that accompanies your purchase. It is your responsibility to abide by the guidelines listed in the card to ensure the longevity of your purchase. Different warranty and guarantee periods apply to different product categories. A warranty is an agreement between the customer and manufacturer that promises to repair goods purchased within a specified time period. It is normal for you, the customer to contribute to warranty costs. These costs are worked out at a pro-rata rate depending on the number of years that your purchase has been in use.

Please note that the warranty is not an indication of the lifespan of the mattress or product. The warranty is null and void in the case of a comfort exchange, failure to follow manufacturer's instructions or misuse of the goods under warranty.

We reserve the right to refuse inspection and to invalidate the warranty if the product is deemed to be soiled, burnt, stained, infested with insects or in an unsanitary condition or tampered with.


A guarantee is an agreement between the manufacturer and the customer that damaged or defective goods will be repaired/ replaced, at no additional cost to the customer, within a certain time frame, subject to conditions. The decision whether or not to replace or repair the goods is subject to the manufacturer's discretion.

The guarantee does not apply if you experience a change of mind or choose the wrong comfort level. Failure to follow manufacturer's instructions or misuse of the goods under guarantee will also cause the guarantee to lapse.
If the product is deemed to be soiled, burnt, stained, infested with insects or in an unsanitary condition or tampered with, the guarantee will lapse.

I understand that all the designs and trademarks are registered to The Bed King and hereby accept the terms and conditions. I undertake not to copy/duplicate the trademarks and designs directly or indirectly in anyway and understand the legal implications thereof. Should I be found to be in violation of this agreement I understand that I will be held liable for all legal costs incurred by The Bed King for any civil action or any legal action deemed necessary against me.

Governing Law

The Terms and Conditions shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa and application for any of the services offered on these pages or sites will constitute your consent and submission to the jurisdiction of the South African courts regarding all proceedings, transactions, applications or the like instituted by either party against the other, arising from any of the terms and conditions pertaining to such services.
