How To Make Your Bedroom Sleep Friendly [VIDEO]

November 05, 2013

Did you know that it is important to have a bedroom that is conducive to getting a good nights sleep? Watch our video post on this very subject matter and find out how a bedroom with a cool temperature, dark interior and with little or no electronics can ultimately ensure that you have a better nights sleep.

The video also covers a brief description of Melatonin secretion and how it can affect your sleep patterns when interrupted due to overexposure to light from TV’s computers and cell phones. In humans, melatonin is produced by the pineal gland  located in the center of the brain. The release of melatonin forms a part of the sleep regulation system and influences the sleep–wake cycle. It does this by chemically causing drowsiness and lowering the body temperature, which helps to prepare the body for sleep.
