How a New Duvet Cover Can Change Your Room

How a New Duvet Cover Can Change Your Room

In most bedrooms, the bed is naturally the focal point both layout and design wise, which is why having a range of different sets of bed linen is a great way to change the looks of your bedroom quickly and inexpensively.

Rather than redecorating the whole room according, why not just change the bed linen according to your mood or season?

Colours:

In winter, a warmer shade of bed linen, such as reds or dark purples can help to create a warmer feeling in the room, while in summer lighter shades such as greens or blues can help trick the body into thinking that the room is cooler. However, using darker shades in winter can cause the bedroom to feel darker so if you are going to use darker linens, make sure that you have enough light to keep the room cosy.

Or why not make a bold statement with your duvet with an eye catching pattern or picture?

Room Sizes:

If you have a narrow room, experiment with patterns and stripes to find which works best for your room. While there is a traditional belief that using parallel lines to make a room seem longer or wider, this doesn’t always work and often will depend on your other decorations.

Throw Pillows:

Don’t be afraid to make bold statements with different textures on your throw pillows, often having a mishmash of pillows can create a very pleasing effect for your bedroom. You can also use your pillows or throw pillows to accentuate or contrast your bed linen.

If you are going to stick to a plain white bedspread, why not throw in some vivid colours to create a stunning contrast? Or why not use abstract patterns on your duvet and solid colours for the pillows or vice versa? The options are endless!
