Choosing the Best Mattress:

Considering that you are more than likely going to be spending almost a third of your day, choosing the right mattress seems like an exceptionally important thing to get right.

Serta’s website has a great and easy online app that can guide to exactly what kind of mattress you need. The app asks five basic questions:

Who will sleep in the new mattress?

i.e Is it for a child, guests, you or you and your partner

Why are you shopping for a new mattress?

Have you changed relationship status or have experienced a great mattress at a hotel?

What disrupts your sleep most often?

Are you often too hot or cold, does your partner’s movements wake you etc.

What type of mattress/mattress construction do you prefer?

Do you refer memory foam or innerspring mattress?

What is your usual sleep position?

This choice affects how much support your mattress will need to provide.

The app took less than a minute to run through. Its recommendation and suggestions were quite helpful and definitely answered all of the sleeping problems that were highlighted in the app.

While it is a US-based app so buying online was not feasible, the advice that the app gave was pretty useful for taking into consideration before buying a mattress.
