Ridiculous Sleep Laws

Sleep is a natural and necessary act that everybody does. So nobody would try to legislate it would they? Well, they might if they are American.

1. In Minnesota, it is illegal to sleep naked.

2. In Alaska, it is illegal to wake a bear to take a picture of it. It is however, legal to shoot them.

3. In Arizona, it is illegal for donkeys to sleep in bathtubs.

4. In Delaware, it is legal to sleep on a bench on the boardwalk, it is illegal to pretend to sleep on them.

5. In Michigan, it is legal for a farmer to sleep with his pigs, cows, horses, goats and chickens

6. In North Dakota, it is illegal to sleep with your shoes on.

7. In South Dakota, it is illegal to sleep in a cheese factory

8.In Pennsylvania, it is illegal to sleep on top of a fridge if it is outside..

9. In Maryland, it is illegal for a woman to go through her husband’s pockets while he is sleeping.

10. In Washington, DC, you need to ask permission before you sleep in somebody’s outhouse.

While these laws might sound funny, it is often because they are taken out of context or are poorly reported common law cases. They are still funny though!
